Every human being has their own meaning of life according to their origin. "On the basis of truth, purity, belief, regard and challenge, to sacrifice for the mother land is the meaning of Jiban's Life"
He was born at Ningthoukhong Oknarel leikai, Bishnupur district, as the youngest son of Moirangthem Apabi Devi and Moirangthem Amubi Singh, a poor family which survives by their daily wages. His family was not able to send him to a good school.
But, with the help of two important weapons; "hard work and self confidence", he was able to overcome the surroundings, even though he was not a brilliant student from the beginning. Instead of occupying his place from the beginning, it was his hard work that was waiting for him in every place and time.
There was no one to oppress him till class VIII since the moment he stepped into school (Ningthoukhong Kha Junior High School) and he got 1st class in HSLC exam of Batch 1998 from Ningthoukhong Boys High School.
He completed his XII in Johnston Higher Secondary School, Imphal, residing as a "servant" in a relative's house.
After the 12th standard, without informing parents, he came to Karnataka with bare hand. Then he started working as a night "Kuli", knocking door to door for food. He had only one time meal per day. Eventually, he completed his B.Sc. in Computer Science in Sahyadri Science collage, Shimoga, Karnataka and he was the 2nd rank holder (Outstanding) in M.Sc. in Environmental Science, Kuvempu University, Shankaraghatta, Karnataka.
After getting the selection as a Junior Research Fellow cum Senior Research Fellow in Bhabha Atomic Research Center, Mumbai, on 2nd Nov. 2007, he was registered for Ph.D under the guidance of Prof. RK. Somashekar, Dept. of Environmental Science, Bangalore University, Bangalore.
As a Research Scholar, he submitted his Ph.D thesis entitled, "Impact assessment of sewerage network on groundwater regime in Hebbal and Challaghatta Valleys, Bangalore, using environmental Isotope Technique" and declared "Doctorate" award on 5th April, 2012.
M. Jiban Singh et al., is the 2nd author in Bangalore and 3rd in Karnataka for the technique (Environmental Isotope Technique in Hydrology), which he has used in his research and he is the precious scholar in India.
He is dedicating his title "Doctorate" to his beloved elders and youngsters of Manipur.
