Imphal, December 10 2008:
L Lalgopal Sharma of Accountant General culled 15 points with 45 progressive score to win the chess competition of the 6th Inter Central civil Services Sports Meet.
His AG team-mate M Gyaneshwor Singh secured the second position on 12 points with 39 progressive score followed by DDK's N Singhajit Singh (12/30) and Vungzakhup Hangzo of Customs (10/27) in third and fourth place respectively.
In semi final matches of the football competition, DDK will play against Customs while AG and CAU will clash for a place in the summit round.
The athletic events will begin tomorrow at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.
