Marempu Kabui wins Bronze Medal in World Muaythai Championship

Marenpu is one of the six 6 Muaythai players from Manipur and one out of total 16 total Indian Muaythai Team who could only win Medal on the ongoing World Muaythai Championship that started from November 27 last here at Fashion Island, Bangkok.
Earlier Mr Sarangthem Ningtamba lost to Mr Ramazan Gasanov of Russia in 57 kg Junior Division yesterday, while Mr Likmabam Suraj and Mr Chingshanglakpa to Mr Dakoto Jean Stephan of Madagascar and Mr Aiazau of Belarus respectively.
Mr Suraj was in 60 kg B Division, while Mr Chingshanglakpa in 48 kg Junior Division.
On the 2nd day of the Championship Mr L Nishikanta was defeated by Mr Adrian Wytwer of Poland in 63.5 kg B Division.
Besides them, Mr Desam Anjan Kumar Goud from Andhra Pradesh, Mr M Vinothkumar from Tamil Nadu and Mr Anshuman Behera from Orissa have lost to Mr Moghaddam of Iran, Mr Aliaksei Baranouski of Belarud and Mr Clayton Cook of Australia respectively.
It may be mentioned that President of Muaythai Federation of India Mr Oken Jeet Sandham has led this jumbo Indian Muaythai Team to Bangkok for this historic World Muaythai Championship 2007 which will end on December 5.

G Marempu Kabui from Manipur has won Bronze Medal here in World Muaythai Championship after losing his semi final fight to Guang Jing of China on Monday.
He fought in the 40 kg Junior Male Division.
The Gold Medal went to Guang Jing of China while the Silver Medal to Monastirskiy of Ukraine.
