Football: CCYC, CK register victories at CSDSA Sports Meet

Imphal, January 17 2025: Chandel Christian YC and Chamdil Khullen prevailed in contrasting styles in Friday's football fixtures of the 44th CSDSA Sports Meet 2025 at Chakpikarong playground, Chandel.

Chandel Christian YC pulled off a 2-2 (4-3) penalty victory over Khubung Khullen FC .

Thumlarson converted a penalty to give Chandel Christian a 1-0 lead in the 38th minute, but Khubung Khullen responded through Thumwarhring who equalised for his side in the 46th minute, only for Chavan to restore Chandel Christian's lead a minute later.

Then Thumwarhring was on target again in the 57th minute to force a 2-2 deadlock, leading to a penalty shootout.

In the shootout, Chandel Christian held their nerve to secure a 4-3 triumph over their opponents, with Chavan, Thumlarson, Konitha and Shelminthang converting their shots for their team.

Earlier in a veteran fixture, Chamdil Khullen enjoyed a comfortable 4-0 win over Sal-luk VT as Joel, Yumas, Bekan and Calvin scored in their victory.
