At the end of 19 matches each in the 11 team first Manipur State League football tournament AMOFA, Moirang is leading the pack on 50 points with TRAU, Tiddim Road piling on the heat to the leaders with a tally of 47 points till today.
The competition actually began with 12 teams taking part in the inaugural edition before the participation strength was reduced to 11 following the scrapping of YWO, Bishnupur on disciplinary (lack of it) ground.
In second leg matches today, AMOFA outplayed MPSC 2-0 at Moirang Multi-Purpose Higher Secondary School ground, TRAU pipped YWC, Thambalkhong by a solitary goal at the latter's home ground (THAU), visitors ESU, Wangkhei defeated KFC, kakching 2-0 while PYC, Phoudel playing in its home turf (Wangkhem) routed SAI RC 7-1 and the RACC, Rengkai versus SSU, Singjamei tie ended on a goalless draw at Churachandpur.
