Akshay Kumar cracked 82 runs and claimed a rival scalp as office of Accountant General (AG) coasted to a four wicket victory over Agriculture & Horticulture Department in a preliminary round match of the 21st Manipur Civil Services Cricket Tournament at the Oriental College & Model Higher Secondary School ground today.
Put in bat first, Agriculture put on a challenging 174 runs on the score board for the loss of seven wickets in the 30 over game.
AG overhauled the target reaching 176 for six in 29.2 overs.
Akshay won the man of the match award.
PWD and Revenue Department will clash in tomorrow's match.
