10th MNCA Elite Trophy : REYS, RCA got off to winning starts; ESU, KCC play out tie

Imphal, February 10 2026: REYS, Khwai Nagamapal Lamabam Leikai crushed SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 147 runs as RCA, Lilong seal hard-fought 1 wicket win on Day 2 of the 10th MNCA W Prahlada and W Ramananda Elite Trophy.

At Model Hr Secondary and Oriental College ground, Ringku Kangujam produced an all round show to guide REYS to a huge 147-run victory over SCCC .

Asked to bat first, REYS raised an imposing total of 261 runs for all wickets down in 38.1 overs as Saddam Ahmed quickfired 95 off 44 and the trio of K Ringku 45 off 39, Md Basir Rahman 36 off 58 and Laishram Robertson 33 off 27 made valuable contributions.

REYS then rode on Naorem Victor (4/29 in 5.5 overs), Ringku (3/18 in 6 overs) and Kiran Laishram (3/19 in 5 overs) to dismantle SCCC for 114 runs within 25.5 overs and seal the huge win.

Elsewhere at Lairenjam Public Ground, RCA, Lilong fought their way to 1 wicket win by chasing down a target of 187 runs set by YWC, Langthabal.

RCA bundled out toss winners YWC for 186 runs in 29.3 overs despite fighting efforts from Heisnam Manikanta 44 off 78, Maibam Subash 38 not out off 16 and Sorokhaibam Jiko 33 off 60 and fought their way to the winning 190/9 with Md Danish hitting M Subash for a four in the final delivery of the final.

Zamir Khan (3/19) and Md Danish Khan (2/21) led the RCA bowling attack earlier as four others picked a wicket apiece before Md Imran Khan 27 off 53, Md Alfash 36 off 44, and Md Anush 44 provided a good start.

Things went downhill midway and RCA slumped to 186/9 in 39.5 overs including three wickets in the same over before Danish who came in at number 7 produced a valiant effort and hit Subash for a four in the final delivery to seal the hard fought win.

The day also saw ESU, Wangkhei Palace Compound and KCC, Kongba Bazar share a point apiece in a 156-run tie at Moijing Public Ground.

Electing to bat first ESU posted 156 for all wickets down in 37.5 overs before KCC slumped to 156 all out in 40 overs in another final over thriller.

M Bimananda 33 off 71 and RK Herachandra 24 off 36 led the scoring for ESU in the first innings that saw KCC's Tayenjam Tomba enjoying a four wicket haul (4/29) and Sunil Salam claiming two wickets (2/25) .

Four others also claimed a wicket apiece to set up the ESU collapse before they failed to overhaul the total despite Thokchom Nishikanta 45 off 67 and Sunil Salam 29 not out off 21 making all possible effort.

Chitaranjan Sharma (2/15), Lourembam Dipu (2/21), Tenyson (2/35) and Leishangthem Bishorjit (2/26) led the ESU bowling attack and shared 8 wickets to salvage the tie.
