MBSU advance in Loktak Trophy

Imphal, February 18, 2010: Commando's goal only eight minutes into the match failed to win USA, Khurai a berth in the semifinals of the 3rd Loktak Trophy Football Tournament as MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai inspite of losing the last Group B clash today still topped the cluster on better goal average.

By virtue of winning one match the Wahengbam Leikai side along with TRUGPU, Nambol advanced to the last four stage of the tournament being played at Moirang.

Even though all three teams of the group were tied at three points each, USA having conceded two goals against TRUGPU dented the team's prospect of advancing further in the competition.

MBSU had blanked TRUGPU 2-0 earlier in the tournament.
