Imphal, December 28: K Chinglensana's brace helped Meiraa, Bashikhong clinch the title of the 19th G Dwijamani Sharma Memorial six-a-side men's hockey Tournament with a 2-1 defeat of SAI RC, Takyel at Yumjao Lairembi Lampak (ground) today.

The one hour game saw SAI surge ahead in the 49th minute through K Naocha before the eventual champions rallied with Chinglensana's goals scored in the 54th and 59th minutes.

Chinglensana was declared player of the final match while Kh Kothajit of PHAM-W was adjudged the best player of the tournament organised b Cosmopolitan Youth Club, Wangkhei.

Prizes donated different individuals were also presented in numerous categories.

The champions were awarded Rs 5000 and trophy for their effort while runners-up SAI RC was presented Rs 3000.
