National Ranking Tennis: Stage set for men's singles quarterfinals

The quarterfinal line up of the men's singles competition in the AITA 1 Lakh Men's National Ranking Tennis Tournament being hosted by Manipur Tennis Association has been completed.
The second day of the tournament saw all top seed players making it to the last-8 stage.
In the first session, Andhra Pradesh's Annurag Reddy and Haryana's Dhruv G registered hard-fought victories as Tamil Nadu's Aditya Baleshkar eased past his Karnataka rival.
Annurag Reddy who got a first round bye conceded the second set after a good start but rallied back in the third set to see out Kerala's Sabari Nath 6-2, 6-7, 6-4.Dhruv G who outlasted Chandigarh's Nishant Kakkar yesterday, also staged a comeback to beat Tamil Nadu's Suhith Reddy 2-6, 6-4, 7-6 in a keenly contested match.
With the victory, Dhruv G will face Annurag Reddy in the quarterfinals tomorrow in the second session.
Aditya Baleshkar in the meantime notched up an easy 6-1, 6-1 win over Karnataka's Epinoah O Richi to set up a quarterfinal date with Arjun Oza of Gujarat tomorrow.
Arjun Oza booked his quarterfinal ticket with a 7-5, 1-6, 6-1 win over T Ramnuj of Assam today in a second session match.
Meanwhile, O Brian of West Bengal set up a quarterfinal date with Parth D of Maharashtra.
Parth D secured a 6-3, 6-2 win over Uttarakhand's Suryadeep Rana in a largely one sided second session match before O Brian overcame Tamil Nadu's Pranav Ramkumar 6-2, 7-5 in a third session match today.
Mayand T of West Bengal in the meantime registered a 6-4, 7-5 win over Parth S of Maharashtra and will play G Siddarth of Tamil Nadu, who outlasted Dev Sinha of Jharkhand 6-4, 6-2 in a round of 16 clash today, in the quarterfinal tomorrow.
Doubles: Ashok D-Rana S pair progress into quarters
The Andhra Pradesh-Uttarakhand pair of Ashok D and Rana S eased to the quarterfinals of the men's doubles competition of the competition hosted in Imphal.
The duo defeated UP-Manipur pair of Joy Das and W Padameshor 6-1, 6-3 in a third session encounter today.
