Imphal, November 15 2008: The 8th Annual Sports Meet organised by Barak Range sports Association will be held at new Konphung of Tamei sub-division from January 21 till 30, 2009 .

Competitions would be held in football and volleyball for both men and women, informed the host Association's president Agabou Newmai who also pointed out that the sports meet is being organised to promote sports movement in the hills.

He also maintained that about 80 teams from settlement areas along Barak River bank including Tamenglong, Senapati and Ccpur district are likely to participate.
