Moreh, August 14 2010: MYC (A) team crushed MYCB 62 in the final of the independence Day football tournament at Moreh Eastern Shine School Ground today.

Khupjangam (25th, 28th) and Jaikhohao (38th, 72nd) starred in the demolition of the opponents as one goal each by Seikholal (42nd) and Senminthang (58th) increased the victory margin.

For MYCB, Thongminlan netted both the goals.

Closing function of the tournament organised under the sponsorship of 31 Assam Rifles of 26 sector was held with State Planning Board Chairman Bijoy Koijam (MLA), 31 AR CO Ravroop Singh and ADC Moreh Lunminthang Haokip as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

7 MR CO M Mubi and Meetei Council president L Imobi also graced the closing function.

In all eight teams took part in the tournament.
