Imphal, March 11: Tejbanta hit a vital 53 off 55 balls as Champ cruised to a 48 run victory against CRAU in the first MCA Limited Overs Cash Prize Tournament at THAU ground today.

electing to bat first, Champ crawled to 178 for eight wickets in the 35 over game with Akai (32) being the notable contributor.

Faced with the daunting task of defending the comparatively low score, Champ bowlers William and Premananda lived upto the team's expectation sharing seven CRAU scalps between them with the former claiming four to stop CRAU at 128 runs in the 29th over.

Tejbanta was named man of the match.

Model Club and Force will play tomorrow.
