Imphal, October 08 2025: The 2nd edition of RK Madhuryyajit Thang-Ta Trophy organised by the Huyel Langlon Thang-Ta Association, Manipur and Apunba Khorirolgi Malemgi Lup began today at Kh Ongbi Nipamacha Devi Community Hall, Yumnam Huidrom and Thiyam Leishangkhong.

As many as 44 boys and 44 girls from 22 different Thang-Ta associations and institutes accompanied by 27 officials, are participating in the two-day competition that will conclude tomorrow.

The first day of the competition saw E Robert of MNTT, Heirok and M Bablu of IMMAA, Brahmapur Chungkham Leikai securing gold medal in junior boys' Phunaba Anishuba events.

E Robert claimed the -48 kg category gold defeating TTM, Yumnam Huidrom's N Rowgun in the final as K Kapil Sharma of IMMAA, Brahmapur Chungkham Leikai settled for the bronze medal.

Meanwhile, M Bablu earned the -52 kg category gold medal by defeating Louis Ningthoujam of LKTTS, Kangmong in the final.

Robart Chanamthabam of LTA, Khurai Kongpal Sajor Leikai bagged the bronze medal in this event.
