Imphal, April 01: Reigning champions Union Taekwondo Academy (UTA), Keishamthong surged ahead in the medal race on the second day of the Governor's Cup Taekwondo tournament title with a haul of 10 gold, eight silver and 12 bronze medals in the third edition of the competition being held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.

UTA had won the Cup title in the inaugural edition also.

CTI on nine gold, seven silver and 12 bronze medals is in second place while overnight leader Nambol is at a close third with nine gold, five silver and six bronze medals.

The four-day competition organised by All Manipur Taekwondo Association is being participated by a total of 412 players from 22 units out of which 15 units have managed to open their medal account.
