Scoring a total of 33 points Pramita Das of West Bengal clinched the top title in women's all round competition of the ongoing 46th junior National Artistic and 16th Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship being held at Khuman Lampak Indoor Stadium.
On the third day of the championship today, Pramita scored 9.20 in floor exercise, 7.60 in balancing beam, 8 in uneven bar and 8.2 in the vaulting horse.
M Shreedevi of Andhra Pradesh culled 32.80 to secure the second position while Uttar Pradesh gymnast Sallu Mishra (32.25) finished third.
Host competitors Y Sapana and Pinky Devi scored 30.25 and 28.05 to end their campaign at seventh and tenth positions respectively.
In men's team artistic competition UP made the top podium finish with 532.35 points, followed by Andhra Pradesh (512.75) and West bengal (498.75) in second and third places respectively.
In women's competition of the same event, west bengal eves claimed the top prize at 309.00 points, as Andhra Pradesh fetched 297.75 to bag second position while UP occupied the third spot with a tally of 296.95.meanwhile, results of the 11th Cycle of MAG National Judges/Course examination conducted under the aegis of Gymnastics Federation of India at Imphal from February 12 till 14 have been declared.
Those candidates declared to have passed Grade-A of the examination are W Inaobi, K Ibopishak, Y Bonny, N Bhunen, Ch Pritam, Bijoy, Brojen and S Laishram of Manipur; Rammilan and Rahul Chopra of UP; and Uttaranchal's Surjit Singh.
