Imphal, October 03: Host Manipur eves wrest the top honours in women's open final on day one of 7th North East Zone Sports Climbing Competition organised by Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association under the aegis of Indian Mountaineering Foundation at Kangla Rock and Sports Climbing wall today.

Irengbam Bimoti Devi secured first position with an attempt of 33 (+) and timing of 4:35:16 while her compatriot Renubala Pheiroijam bagged second position with an attempt of 29 hole and timing of 5 minute in women open final.

Six Manipur climbers have reached the final of men's open out of 10 climbers qualify for the final.

In the semi-final Phuritsabam Khelendra remain on top with a timing of 3:17:88 while Lakitbok Lyndoh of Meghalaya came second reaching the top with a timing of 3:21:20.Four climbers from Meghalaya also reached the final.

Ningombam Chitrasen finish third reaching the top with a timing of 3:46:34 while his team-mate Puyam Subash also reach the top with a timing of 3:54:34 in the semi-final.
