Imphal, June 29: With 12 points at its kitty from the five team competition Division II Hockey League Tournament PHAM emerged as the champion and will feature in first division tournaments from the next season.

In today's last match of the tournament organized by Manipur Hockey Association at Khumaii Lampak Hockey Stadium, YCCIC, Ahallup downed LYLYC, Lairikyengbam Leikai 3-2 to pip their opponent to the third position on better goal difference despite both sides finishing on three points each.

L Aboy sounded the LYLYC board on two occasions followed by one from L Tornbisana while Kamei and Ch Rishikanta reduced the loss margin for the Lairikyengbam side.
