Imphal, September 29: United Club, Degli lifted the 3rd Jananeta Hijam Irawat Memorial Football Tournament 2008 organised by All Jiribam Sports Association at Jiribam Hr Sec School.

In the final match today, United Club defeated Young Senlung Club, Kalinagar by a solitary goal.

The all important goal was scored by Joybung in the 30th minute.

Later during the prize distribution function graced by SDO O Menjor as chief guest, JIMET president Ch Komol as president and AJSA president M Brajakumar as guest of honour, the champion team were awarded Rs 1500 and a trophy.

The runners-up team have to settle with Rs 1000 and trophy.

Joybung of United Club was adjudged the best player of the tournament.
