Imphal, September 27: LMYVA, Lalambung scripted a narrow 27-23 points victory over ideal Club, Tera to advance into the boys under-12 semi finals in the 2nd RK Bhubonsana and Padmashree L Damu Memorial Basketball Championships at Uripok Achom Leikai today.

Among the men's teams Assam Regimental Centre, Shillong, ESU, Wangkhei and Ideal Club have been assured their respective places in the last four stage of the championship.

While the Shillong cagers outplayed CYLC, Chingamathak 84-47 in a Group A match to record its second consecutive win in the four team cluster, ESU staved off a strong challenge from LMYVA to win by a single point at 53-52 in Group B and Ideal Club defeated Don Bosco 63-32 in the same group that has five teams.

Ideal Club is on its way to top Group B having won three matches on the trot.
