Imphal, December 24: AMOFA, Moirang stunned MPSC by a solitary goal, as NEROCA (Laipham Khunou), SSU (Singjamei) and YWC (Thambalkhong) defeated their respective opponents, while KFC, Kakching and PYC, Phoudel split points after a 2-2 draw in the 2nd Manipur State League football competition matches played today.

While 51st CC Meet runners-up AMOFA pulled off a major upset defeating formidable MPSC on a 28th minute goal scored by S Stephen at Moirang, recently crowned CC Meet champions NISA, Thangmeiband suffered 0-2 defeat at its home turf (Sekmai) to NEROCA with Ksh Malemnganba (15th) and Amarjit (70th) netted the Laipham Khunou side's goals.

The day saw SSU record the highest score margin in outclassing visitors ESU, Wangkhei 5-1 at Chajing ground with Kh Ratan (11th), W Dhananjoy (18th), Gaichungam Kamson (43rd) and Nepolian (52nd, 57th) figuring among the hosts' goals.

Visitors TRAU were handed a 1-0 defeat by YWC at Thambalkhong when Kh Bopichand headed in the decisive goal 10 minutes from time.

In the 2-2 draw between KFC and Phoudel's PYC at Kakching, Joseph Thanghilal netted a brace (14th, 71st) for the former while the visitors struck through K Beningthar Monsang (17th) and David Ngaihte (83rd).
