Imphal, May 22: With a rich haul of 27 medals including 16 gold and nine silver, the Manipur wushu team clinched Overall Champion Trophy in the 6th Junior (Boys and Girls) National Wushu Championships held at Ranital Indoor stadium, Jabalpur (MP) from May 10 to 15. Medal winners :

Taolu Event: H Omega (3 g/1 s), L Ratan (1 G/2 S), L Bidyachandra (1 G), Ch Devjani (1 G/1 S), P Thoibi (2 G/ 1 S), W Shakhenbi (3 G), L Sanatombi (2 S).

Sanshou Event: O Romen (45 kg) gold, H Kanta (48) Silver, H Ronel (52)bronze, L Santosh (50) silver, N Gagarin (60) gold, N Phillip (65) silver, Ng Arunkumar (70) bronze, Y Sanathoi (48) gold, Kh Lily (52) silver, K Naocha (56) gold and H Luxmi (60) gold.

The team was led by Sachidananda M and L Pradeepkumar as coaches, with M Birmani and Md Abdul Malik as the managers.
