Imphal, April 22: Sacred Heart School representing Imphal East district bagged the first position at the State Level Bharatiyam Competition held today at Indoor Stadium, Khuman Lampak.

The winner received a cash prize of Rs 10,000.The second place went to Standard English School representing Thoubal district and receive a cash prize of Rs 7000 while Christian Grammar English School, Tamenglong bagged third place and recieved a cash prize of Rs 5000.The competition was organised by Dept of Youth Affairs and Sports.

M Pahari, Joint Director YAS, ZV Wungpam, Deputy Director (S), RK Dhiren, retd Joint director YAS and L Phunindro Singh, jt director graced the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Other contestants representing different district who bagged 4th to 11th position also receive a consolation cash prize of Rs 1000 each.

Don Bosco School, Churachandpur 4th position with 350 point.

Emmamual English School, Kangpokpi 5th position with 348 point.

Ukhrul Public School 6th position with 342 point.

Usha Bhavan School, Imphal West 7th position with 333 point.

St Joseph English School, Chandel bagged 8th position with 330 point.

Samaritan Public School, Senapati 9th position with 329 point.

High School, Jiribam 10th position with 323 point.

Mukha High School, Bishnupur 11th position with 164 point.
