Imphal, January 16: SEYO, Kshetri Leikai defeated SAI RC, Takyel 3-1 and MPSC overcame HU, Lairikyengbam Leikai 3-1 in super league round matches of the 9th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Hockey Tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium today.

After former hockey Olympian Ksh Thoiba neutralised a seventh minute goal by SAI's Holendro within the next minute, ksh Sumeshkanta struck twice to take the SEYO score to 3-1 while Ksh Tennyson slammed in one in the 68th minute to ensure the comfortable victory.

In the MPSC versus HU tie, the police side took the lead through P Adeva's seventh minute goal as Th Birjit (8th) and N Gunamani (52nd) chipped in with one apiece to fetch victory.

N Priyokumar scored HU's consolation goal.
