Imphal, January 09: Cosmo, Wangkhei outplayed KhSC, Khongman 6-2 while Meiraa, Bashikhong laboured to a 3-2 win over SSB, Gorakhpur in the 9th Dr Kanti Mukherjee Memorial Hockey Tournament at Khuman Lampak Hockey Stadium today.

The Cosmo versus KhSC match began with the former banging the rivals' board through Th Hemjit within the first minute of the game, as goals from K Biramani (2), RK Bikramjit and Th Thabal (2) ensured the comfortable victory margin.

M Samudrajit and L Joychandra scored for the Khongman side in the second session.

Later, a keenly contested tie between SSB and Meiraa saw the latter script a come from behind win with K Chinglensana and Kh Umakanta (2) finding the SSB board while the Gorakhpur team scored through Ch Sanjit and S Ranikumar.
