NPSK, IRC, NSPC win in Hazari State Polo tourney

Imphal, February 04, 2012: Nongchup Pana Sagol Kangjei (NPSK) beat Rupkumar Polo Club (RPC)–B 2-1 in today's first match of the 27th N Hazari State Polo Tournament–2012 organised by the Manipur Horse Riding and Polo Association at the Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.

N James of NPSK scored the first goal of the match in the 6.13 minute of the first chakkar while RPC failed to score any.

The second chakkar went off goalless while in the third chakkar, Indramani scored the lone goal of RPC in the 3.25 minute.

The second goal of NPSK was scored in the 4th chakkar by K Yaima in the 1.17 minute.

In the second match, Imphal Riding Club (IRC) beat Chingkheihunba Polo Team – C (CHPT) 5-4.In the first chakkar, L Romio of IRC scored one goal in the 0.47 minute and Y Suresh of CHPT also scored one in the 4.16 minute.

The second chakkar went goalless with none of the players able to score a goal against their opponents.

In the 3rd chakkar, Prakash Bhandari and L Romio scored one goal each for IRC in the 2.04 and 7.21 minutes respectively while Ph James of CHPT scored one in the 6.56 minute.

N Ronson of IRC sccored one goal in the 2.04 minute of 4th chakkar.

On other other hand, L Atangba and Y Suresh of CHPT scored one goal each against IRC in the 6.02 and 6.15 minute and equalised the score position.

The 5th chakkar went goalless and Prakash Bhandari scored the winning goal of IRC in the 2.o minute of the 6th chakkar while no players of CHPT could scored any goal in the chakkar.

The third match was won by New Star Polo Cluc (NSPC) after defeating RPC–A 5-4.Ksh Naobi of NSPC drew first blood in the 3.24 minute of the 1st chakkar leading the match 1-0 by the end of the chakkar.

L Jiten further extended the lead to 2-0 by adding one goal in NSPC's account in the 1.44 minute in the 2nd chakkar.

However the scores were equalised by the two goals of RPC scored by Th Tiken and S Arun in the 4.36 and 7.25 minutes respectively.

In the 3rd chakkar, L Olendro and Kh Surgyan of NSPC scored one goal each in the 6.35 and 7.22 minute and brought their team into the lead again.

On the other hand RPC players could not scored any goal in the chakkar.

The score was equalised in the 4th chakkar by two goals from Th Tiken and S Arun of RPC in the 0.57 and 1.53 minutes.

However, L Olendro scored his team's winning goal against RPC in the 5.43 minute of the chakkar and took everyone by surprise.
