Imphal, November 01: Southern Sporting Union, Singjamei and Tiddim road Athletic Union will kick start the first Manipur State League 2006 football competition on November 3 at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium.

Inaugural programme of the League a major component of the AFC India Vision Project Manipur will be graced by the presence of Governor Dr SS sidhu and Sports Minister Govindas Konthoujam as the chief guest and president respectively.

General secretary of Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Dato' Peter Velappan and president AIFF Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi will be the guests of honour of the inaugural session slated to begin from 11 am.

The league tournament participated by 12 top sides of State football divisions would be played on home and away basis at 12 venue spread across Imphal east/West, Thoubal, Bishnupur and churachandpur districts.

other teams competing in the League are SAI RC, NERO-CA, AMOFA, ESU, RACC, YWC, PYC, KFC and MPSC.
