Imphal, February 17: M Robin struck thrice and K premjit scored a brace as NEROCA, Laipham Khunou drubbed ESU, Wangkhei 6-0 in a league round match of the 3rd Sarajeevan Tiddim Trophy football tournament at Khuman lampak Main Stadium today.

The Wangkhei side, who put up a stiff resistance before Robin cracked the opener from the top of the opponent box seconds before end of the first half virtually ran out of ideas in the second as NEROCA made raid after raid to add five more to the tally.

The Laipham Khunou outfit, who had defeated NACO 2-1 in the first outing, made its intention clear from the very start with diminutive striker H Amarjit testing ESU 'keeper N Imojit with a stinging drive which the custodian saved with a timely dive.

Three minutes after the break, K Premjit doubled the lead off a Manimohan pass while Robin curled in the third from the top of the ESU box in the 50th minute.

With NEROCA going full steam despite the comfortable ESU cramped its defence line to prevent further embarrassment but failed as Robin completed his hattrick with a 54th minute header off a Y Raju corner kick and T Dhiren added to the ESU misery with the fifth goal in the 79th following a free kick by H Devan from near the centre.

Premjit's second of the match two minutes into injury time completed the ESU debacle.

ESU had won its first match against host TRAU by a solitary goal.
