The Disciplinary Committee for the Santosh Trophy has recommended that action be taken against four Manipur players for their on-field conduct in the quarter-final league match against Goa.
The four players against whom action has been sought are goalkeeper Ingobi Singh, Manitombi Singh, Dharamjit Singh and K Samson Singh, Chairman Disciplinary Action Committee, Mohan Raj, said here today.
The match turned violent when the Manipur players protested a goal scored by the Goans with a few minutes left for the final whistle.
They claimed that the game was restarted after a goal of their own before their team could settle down.
The committee had earlier turned down Manipur�s protest before recommending action against them by the All India Football Federation.
