Manipur emerged as the overall team champion in Sangrock Cup taekwondo

Imphal, May 28: Manipur emerged as the overall team champion in the Sangrock Cup all India Open Taekwondo Championship 2004 held at Lion's Club, West Bengal on May 22 and 23, informed Manipur Amateur Taekwondo Association.

The gold medallists in sub-junior category are P Ringo Meitei, Md Ashif Khan , L Kiyokumar and Th Budhiram.

In the junior girls section, T Babita, Kh Prava and P Phajabi won the top prize with O Imoba also accomplishing similar feat in boys section of the competition.

In senior category, K Prakash and P Romendrajit (B/Belt) secured the gold medals.

K Khojit, L Ojit, H Chitra Devi and L Premita won silver medals in junior section with T mocha winning silver among senior players from Manipur.
