Imphal, Jul 24: Nungba Citizens' Council (NCC) has urged the State Government and the district administration not to transfer Dr Z Kamei, MO of CHC Nungba.

He is not like other doctors in the past who seldom attend their duties properly, NCC general secretary MS Franky said in a statement.

While extending its support to the ongoing economic blockade being imposed along National Highway 53 in protest against the failure of the Government to provide adequate staff at Nungba High School, CHC as well as against failure to construct buildings which have already been sanctioned for construction, the Council also deplored the apathetic attitude of the Government to the demand of the people.

The Council also took serious note over the cracks which have already started appearing on the newly constructed building of Tengkongjang Higher Secondary School.
