Imphal, May 22: While reaffirming its stand against recruitment of nonlocal candidates as primary teachers under Manipur North Autonomous District Council, the Senapati District Students' Association urged the concerned authority to immediately revoke the appointment of the non-locals within three days.

In a statement the students body termed such appointment as a violation of MoU signed between the Govt.and the students' body and call upon the authority to immediately rectify the blunder.

It also asked the authority concerned to declare the penal list in the interest of the public and in case of failure to meet the demand within the stipulated time, it would be compelled to take up its own course of actions for which it shall not be responsible.
