Three slain men identified

Imphal, February 20, 2010: Three out of five suspected PREPAK cadres killed in a reported encounter with troops of 12 AR at Taretlok, close to Indo-Myanmar border in Ukhrul district have been identified.

Two of them have been identified as Wahengbam Sarat (25) s/o Naba of Wangoi Wahengbam Leikai and Elangbam Kishan (21) s/o Dara of Kakching Irum Mapal.

Sarat left home in June/July 2008 and joined PREPAK.

Kishan left home in the early part of 2008. He was staying in the boarding of BIM Higher Secondary School and was about to appear class X Board exam.

Another one was already identified as Thokchom Sanjoy (26) of Kongba Makha Nandeibam Leikai Chongabi.

But the other corpse has not been identified as yet.

The two other deceased cannot be identified till date.
