Imphal, May 15: As part of the ongoing military civic action programme under Op Samaritan, the 38 Assam Rifles under the aegis of Hqs 9 Sector has provided a voctional training centre at Nonei village in Nungba sub-division of Tamenglong district today, said PRO IGAR (S) in a release.

In his remarks during the inauguration programme, 38 AR Commandant Col Vijay Khanna exhorted the women society to utilise the sewing and weaving machines, augment production of traditional goods to sustain family economy, conveyed the statement.

Further informing that the vocational training centre has equipment like sewing machinesm embroidery, carpentry/blacksmith tools besides furniture, the PRO informed of the Col Khanna exuding confidence of completing a youth centre near the VTC in a week's time.
