Imphal, November 06: An IED reportedly planted by an UG group was found in a road just in front of the St Xavier School of Oksongbu under Moirang police station at around 6:45 am today.

The explosive device recovered by personnel of 6th Jat Regiment was safely defused by the explosive experts of the Regiment at around 7:45 am.

On the other hand, a Chinese made hand grenade was recovered near the home premises of IFCD Addtl Chief Engineer Laishram Manihar at Kwakeithel Thounaojam Leikai at around 10 am today.

The grenade was safely defused by the explosive experts of Manipur police at around 11 am at Lamphel.
