Imphal, March 01: A young girl identified as Lingnio Haokip (7) d/o Khathang Haokip lost her life in an accident involving a truck yesterday at around 3:30 pm .

The accident resulted in the truck running over the girl at a place near BRTF camp of New Keithelmanbi under Saparmeina police station.The victim belonged to S Laijang village of Senapati district. The driver of the truck bearing registration no MN 01-4388 is identified as Md Anwar of Thoubal Moijing.

The vehicle has been seized.

The deceased has been handed over to family members after post morterm at RIMS today.
