Imphal, October 03: Troops of 34 Assam Rifles in a joint operation with police commandos in Lamdingam Leikai Laikhong Maning, Thoubal nabbed a PLA cadre of finance section identified as Thangjam Romesh Singh.

In another incident an US made carbine with five rounds were recovered from Moreh Gate No 4 by24 Assam Rifles on Oct 2.The press release issued by PIB (DW) further adds that 22 Maratha Light under the aegis of 9 sector Assam Rifles seized 500 litres of liquor in Mayang Imphal bazar on the same day and were destroyed in presence of local meira paibis and police authorities.

PREPAK claims: The proscribed PREPAK today claimed that a batch of freshly trained Red Army cadres attacked a security force post at Sugnu yesterday at about 11.30 pm and added that such attacks will be launched again.

Speaking to the press, a spokesman of the outfit said that the Red Army did not suffer any casualty in the attack yesterday and added that it is still not yet clear whether the security personnel suffered any casualty.
