Reiterating demand for unconditional release of MUSU president Kh Ashokumar and cordial discussion in the presence of media to find the issue president in-charge of the student body and MUSU councillors gave their version on the entire impasse.
Reacting to reports of Ashokumar�s refusal to proposal for organising literary meet as main factor for the abduction, the MUSU representatives contended that such assertion confuses the student community.
To the student community celebrating raising day anniversary under fictitious theme has no relevance or importance as compliance to proposal for such programme is impossible due to existence of groups of all hue and colour, they said.
Moreover, entertaining such non-academic proposals might lead to compromising interest and alteration of academic calendar, added the MUSU councillors.
They also alleged of the armed man provoking MUSU representatives and other student leaders to react physically following severe threat and intimidation to Ashokumar at gunpoint.
