Imphal, April 26: To prevent pilferage of water supply pipes personnel of water Supply maintenance Division-I of the PHED along with securitymen have begun to snap unauthorised connection in consonance with the April 4 notification, informed a Department release.

Stating that the drive is mainly focused on delinking unauthorised connection from 'clear water main' of zonal reservoir, the release said areas covered so far include western and southern side from naorem tho ng till Kwakeithel Bazar via Tera Loukrakpam Leikai.

due to the ongoing drive supply of water to zonal reservoirs located at Irom Pukhri mapal, Sangaiprou, Chingtham leikai, Nepra menjor, Khagempalli and Kwakeithel areas would remain suspended, it informed and sought the cooperation of the general public till the inconveniences is amicably solved.
