Imphal, August 25: Asserting that the contract work for construction of the Old Cachar Road between Luwanglong Khullen (Lamdan) and Namkaolong Part II (Khoupum) under CRF (PWD) was allotted to some non-local contractors, the Zeliangrong Students' Union, Khoupum Area (ZSUKA) and the Khoupum Area Village Authority Council, in seperate press statements, have urged the authority concerned to review the work allotment.

The two bodies demanded that the same contract work be re-allotted to competent local contractors in the interest of people.
