Imphal, Aug 25: 32 Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ 9 Sector AR under IGAR (S) had organised a ten-days children's educational excursion tour from Imphal to Kolkata from August 14 to 24 as part of military civic action programme.

There were 25 children which include 15 boys and 10 girls, hailing from civil society and remote villages of Manipur.

The tour was flagged off by IGAR (S) Major General BS Ghotra, AVSM, SM, VSM from Mantripukhri on August 14 and excursion team arrived at Imphal yesterday, according to a statement issued by PRO AR.
