Four scribes hurt in mishap

Imphal, Jul 24: Six persons including four scribes were injured in a road mishap when the vehicle (Gypsy) they were travelling in met with an accident at Kotlen along NH 53 at around 8:30 am today.

The injured scribes are identified as Ningombam Noren (30) of The Sangai Express, Jit Ningombam (36) of ISTV, Yambem Henry (36) of the Poknapham and Takhellambam Thoiba (27) of the Imphal Free Press.

The other victims are Thokchom Hemochandra (39) of Keishampat Thokchom Leikai and Takhellambam Somorjit (38) of Takhellambam Leikai.

All the six were rushed to RIMS and later discharged as their conditions were not serious.

The scribes were going to Noney to cover the inauguration function of the Noney ADC office complex by MPCC (I) president Gaikhangam today.
