Imphal, May 21: In protest against the failure of the Government to repair the road connecting Manipur University and Samurou which is popularly known as Chajing Road, the enraged local people living on both sides of the road today dug up the road and has sealed it indefinitely.

The enraged local people informed that the said road has been neglected by the Government for the last 20 years and the its condition has deteriorated over the years so much that frequent road mishaps are occurring endangering lives of the people.

They also warned of intensifying their agitation if the Government fails to redress their grievances.
