Imphal, June 15: The Manipur Human Rights Commission has sought comments from the Additional Chief Secretary (Forest and Environment), Principal Secretary (Power) pertaining to a complaint petition that sought protection of right to environment and environmental protection particularly at Loktak Lake.

The MHRC sought these specific comments following a petition filed by one Asnikumar Moirangthem.

The MHRC also asked the State officials to furnish their comments before the Commission by July 16.
