Driver dies in mishap

Imphal, October 12, 2009: A driver of a loaded Tata Sumo � heading towards Imphal from Moreh - died and one of the passengers sustained severe injury when the vehicle fell into a gorge neat Khudengthabi around 1.50pm today, according to a report.

The deceased driver has been identified to be Suresh (28), son of Akashini of Chingmeirong.

The registration number of the ill-fated Tata Sumo is MN-04-2728. Two injured passengers have been rushed to Moreh Hospital for treatment.
