MCA projects shine at Thanlon

Imphal, June 02: A number of Military Civic Action Programme taken up in Thanlon sub-division of Churachandpur district has brought relief to the people at large, said PIB (Defence Wing) in a statement today.

In 2006, 3 Raj Rifles under the aegis of 27 Sector Assam Rifles and 57 Mountain Division took up numerous projects including opening Vocational Training Centres, Piggery farms at Thanlon, community farms at Songpekmum, Dayalkhai, Joutung, Mualpheng, Sumtuk and Mualnuam, water supply scheme at Bukpiu, Hanship and Khajang, TV with DTH at Mongon, provision of furniture and books to the schools at Thanlon, Sonpekmum and Songdo and solar lighting at Dayalkhai.
