Imphal, September 15: The proscribed UNLF has clarified that it was not behind the shooting incident at the gate of one S Chinglensana on September 12.In a statement, the outfit said that the gunmen identified themselves as KCP cadres working under the UNLF.

However there is no such thing as a KCP group working under the UNLF, said the outfit and demanded that the KCP should clarify.

KCP condoles: KCP offered its heart felt condolence at the demise of Nameirakpam Opendro alias Abungcha (28) of Heirangoithong Awang Maibam Leikai.

Opendro was shot dead by police commando on September 12 at Sagolband Sayang.

The outfit also refuted police claim of Samurailatpam Shanta Sharma alias Surjit (27) being a member of the KCP.

The outfit termed the police contention as unfounded and concocted.
