Imphal, May 26: A veterinary camp was organised by Assam Rifles under the aegis of 9 Sector AR at Sawombung yesterday.

The camp was conducted by AR veterinary surgeon with the assistance of Dr K Gopal, Dr Mohindro and Dr N Padam Kumar of the Veterinary Directorate.

A press release issued by the PRO of HQs IG AR (S) informed that Maj RK Sharma of 3 Corps, OC 3 Army Dog unit and veterinary team from 14 veterinary hospital also contributed to the camp.

Altogether 1087 animals including 159 cattle, 24 dogs, 852 poultry, 25 ducks, 25 pigs and 2 cats were treated during the camp.
