Imphal, February 22: Highlighting that favouritism and nepotism are rampant in the functioning of State�s Public Works Department (PWD) with Chief Engineer and SE colluding with certain contractors in withdrawing bills, All manipur PWD Contractors� Association urged authority concerned to check such undesired dealings.

Attesting documents regarding sanction of bills to select contractors to substantiate its allegation the Association said Rs 7.70 crore had been released on the sly on February 13 from non-plan allocation.

The Association also called upon the PWD officials to act impartially by ensuring all the registered contractors get their due share.
