Imphal, February 21: Fire service personnel have reportedly saved a 7-year old girl child from meeting the fate of being roasted alive in the fire that engulped a quarters of the Electricity Department at Phungreitang in Ukhrul district headquarters at around 8 pm yesterday.

Fire fighters who have gone to put out the fire found the child inside the burning quarters.

30 percent of the her tiny body had already suffered burnt injuries.

She was immediately evacuated to Ukhrul District Hospital where she is currently undergoing treat ment.

Her condition is stated to be stable.
